Post Graduate Work Permit Eligibility and Tuition
- International students will be eligible to apply for a three-year post-graduate work permit after completing their MBA program at IBU.
- The tuition fee for the MBA program is $24,000 CAD for domestic students, and $36,000 for international students (total). Being one of the most affordable MBA programs in Canada, it is hard to find a more viable option for international students who want to pursue graduate studies in technology innovation and entrepreneurship. Compared to other MBA universities in Canada, IBU offers affordable and high-quality MBA courses that will help you achieve your career goals.

IBU MBA Requirements
Admission Requirements for Direct Entry
Domestic and international students (including current Ontario university graduates, graduates, and out-of-province Canadian students) interested in applying to IBU may do so directly by completing an online application form.
Honours Undergraduate Degree
- 2 years of work experience
- B+ GPA or Equivalent
- GMAT over 560*

*The GMAT requirement may be waived for applicants who have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years of executive/managerial experience.
**If you do not hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or equivalent business degree, you may be required to complete two bridging courses.

International Students
If the international student’s official language of instruction in the undergraduate degree (at least 3 years full-time) was English, and they achieved a minimum of a B+ GPA or equivalent and a GMAT score over 560, they will be required to submit an official foreign undergraduate degree transcript.
If the official language of instruction in the foreign undergraduate program was not English and the native language of the student is not English, proof of proficiency in English is required. Submission of the official transcript and results of the English Language Proficiency Test are required, as well as a minimum of a B+ GPA or equivalent and a GMAT score over 560.
For Duolingo , the required minimum score is 105.
International students will require a valid study permit.
Mature Students
Applicants who do not meet the minimum admission requirements and do not have an undergraduate degree but show potential for success in graduate-level study, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. However, extensive work experience and volunteer experience at a managerial level is expected.
Applicants must meet the standard admission requirements of proof of proficiency in English and achieve a GMAT score over 560, and may be assessed for experience and performance in a number of education/training courses.
Applicants must provide all application materials and a minimum 3-5 page essay outlining their desire to earn an MBA in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Transfer Students
Applicants must meet the standard admission requirements as well as a minimum of a B+ GPA or equivalent, and a GMAT score over 560.
Applicants must submit official transcripts from their transferring program and postsecondary university.
Proof of English proficiency may be required on a case-by-case basis.

- A CV detailing work experience, skills, voluntary engagement, and interests
- A Statement of Purpose of approximately 1000 words, outlining your reasons for pursuing an MBA, your career objectives, and how your previous studies and experience have prepared you for the program
- Reference letters (minimum of 2)
- A minimum GMAT score of 560 (unless waived)
- Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)
How to Apply for Our MBA Program in Canada
Make your application and include the documents listed below.
Once your application is completed, your file will be submitted for consideration by the Admissions team at International Business University. They can only evaluate applications with the following documents included:
- Official Transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended.
- Letter of Intent.
- International Business University may request foreign transcripts to be evaluated by a IBU approved international credentialing service such as WES, ICAS.
- English proficiency test score result i.e. IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, etc.(See detailed list of accepted tests on our website). Score - must be within two years.
- GMAT or GRE Score (applicable for MBA program only)
A decision is made and communicated to you from IBU Registrar’s Office. At that point, accepted students will need to then pay their deposit in order to receive their final Letter of Acceptance and start your study.
Once you have received your Letter of Acceptance, you will need to work towards paying the balance of your remaining tuition fees.
It should be noted that as a IBU student you are obliged to pay each term’s tuition fees before the start of each term.
Details of the timetable and orientation session will be sent about one month prior to the start date and International Business University will look forward to welcoming you on campus to the Master of Business Administration (Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship) program.
