Biography:
Dr. Rahim Karim is a member of the Board at International Business University (IBU) and serves as President & CEO of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), a pan-Canadian academic institution with campuses in Toronto and Metro Vancouver.
He provides leadership across all areas of the institution, including academic programming, clinical education, research, and external relations with professional associations, regulatory bodies, and accreditation organizations.
Academic and Leadership Experience:
Dr. Rahim Karim has more than two decades of experience in higher education and the health sector. He has held progressive academic and administrative roles, including Associate Vice President at Centennial College, where he oversaw cross-functional academic and institutional initiatives.
He also served as Dean of the School of Community and Health Studies at Centennial College, with responsibility for academic quality and program delivery across multiple campuses.
Professional and Research Contributions:
Dr. Karim is an administrator, educator, and clinician with experience in multidisciplinary healthcare practice. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.
He has completed professional coursework in Medical Education (AMEE), Interprofessional Education (Toronto), and Strategic Decision and Risk Management (Stanford).
Governance and Recognition:
Dr. Rahim Karim has significant governance and external committee experience and serves on boards and committees across sectors. He is an active volunteer within the community.
He is the recipient of the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers (Canadian Honor), awarded by the Governor General of Canada.
