Biography:
Dr. Afshin Kamyabniya served as an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods and Analytics within the Faculty of Management at the University of New Brunswick. His expertise lies in optimization under uncertainty and data-driven optimization techniques, particularly focusing on applications in business analytics and supply chain management. While pursuing his Ph.D. at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, Dr. Kamyabniya received esteemed accolades, including the Ontario Trillium Scholarship, Mitacs Globalink, John Duncan, and Deb Cross awards. Known for his contributions, he has extensively published in reputable journals within the Operations Research and Management Science domains.
Over the past decade, Afshin has enriched his professional experience across various private and public sectors as a senior business analyst and data scientist. His roles have included positions at esteemed organizations such as the MTN Telecommunication Industry, the National Research Council of Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information.
