Capstone Project

  • The Capstone Project is a key component of the MBA in General Stream program, allowing students to apply their knowledge to practical business challenges.

    • Business Development: Develop strategies to solve real-world business problems or seize new opportunities.
    • Consulting Project: Act as a consultant to analyze challenges and provide actionable solutions.
    • Case Study: Research and evaluate business scenarios to deliver strategic recommendations.

    This hands-on experience prepares students for leadership roles by enhancing their problem-solving and decision-making skills.

IBU MBA Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements for Direct Entry

Domestic and international students (including current Ontario university graduates, graduates, and out-of-province Canadian students) interested in applying to IBU may do so directly by completing an online application form.

HONOURS UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE

  • 2 years of work experience
  • B+ GPA or Equivalent
  • Additional courses may be required*

OTHER UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE

  • 2 years of work experience
  • B+ GPA or Equivalent
  • Additional courses may be required*

Bridging Courses:

*If you do not hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or equivalent business degree, you may be required to complete two bridging courses.

Applicants whose first language is not English and who have completed fewer than 4 consecutive years of study in an English-speaking country must show evidence of their English language proficiency by providing an official English language proficiency certificate (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS or the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment – CAEL).

How to Apply for Our MBA Program in Canada

Submit your Master of Business Administration application with the documents listed in Step 2.

Once your application is completed, your file will be submitted for consideration to the Admissions team at International Business University. IBU can only evaluate applications with the following documents included:

  • Official Transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended.
  • Resume
  • Letter of Intent.
  • Reference letters
  • International Business University may request foreign transcripts to be evaluated by an IBU-approved international credentialing service such as WES, ICAS.
  • English proficiency test score results. IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo are accepted. The score must be within 2 years.

A decision is made and communicated to you from IBU Registrar’s Office. At that point, accepted students will need to then pay their deposit in order to receive their final Letter of Acceptance and start your study.

Once you have received your Letter of Acceptance, you will need to work towards paying the balance of your remaining tuition fees.
It should be noted that as an IBU student you are obliged to pay each term’s tuition fees before the start of each term.
