Kourosh Parand is a faculty member specializing in Applied Mathematics, Articifical Intelligence, and Scientific Computing. His research is focused on AI-integration, numerical linear algebra, spectral methods, optimization, and data‑driven modeling. His work spans data mining, machine learning, and deep learning, with applications across energy and water systems, epidemiology, and brain and neural modeling. Kourosh brings extensive applied and industry experience, having worked with Khuzestan Hydropower Plants Company, Khuzestan Water & Electricity Company, and the Social Security Investment Company. He has also collaborated with international organizations including UNESCO, UNDP, and UNFPA.
