Dr. Shraddha Wilfred

Biography:

Dr. Shraddha Wilfred is a Faculty Member at International Business University (IBU). She specializes in human resource management, organizational behaviour, strategic management, cross-cultural management, and leadership.

With nearly 20 years of academic experience and more than 8 years of corporate experience in human resource management, Dr. Shraddha Wilfred has taught and developed business courses at universities and colleges in Canada, India, South Africa, the United States, Oman, and Pakistan. Her teaching spans negotiations, strategic compensation, occupational health and safety, recruitment and selection, labour relations, and cross-cultural management. She is known for creating engaging, practical learning experiences in in-person, hybrid, and online formats.

At IBU, she teaches Organizational Behaviour, Business Planning, Strategy, and Managing Multinational Firms in the MBA program, and Marketing and Sales in the Bachelor of Commerce program. She is also a Sessional Faculty member in graduate programs at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, and has taught at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. She serves as Program Coordinator for online Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour programs at Algoma University. At the University of Waterloo’s School of Accounting and Finance, she developed a new undergraduate course.

Academic and Professional Contributions:

Dr. Shraddha Wilfred serves on the Academic Standards Committee of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA), reviewing HR and organizational behaviour courses from Ontario and international institutions against HRPA standards. She also serves on McMaster University’s Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee and as an eCampusOntario Ranger promoting open educational resources. Earlier in her career, she held academic leadership roles in India, including Officiating Campus Director and Academic Program Coordinator at NIT Graduate School of Management. She also led curriculum and instructional design for business courses at triOS College.

She has published three books and more than 18 research papers, chaired two international conferences, and serves as a PhD guide and evaluator. She received a Best Faculty Award, has guided more than 400 students in research projects, and has placed more than 1,200 students in internships and jobs. As a Training and Development Partner on a municipal equity project in India, she helped develop inclusive HR and diversity policy frameworks, contributing to a 29% improvement in inclusiveness in service delivery.
