Nevzat Gurmen

Biography:

Nevzat Gurmen is Vice President, Finance, Strategy and Growth at International Business University (IBU), bringing extensive executive leadership experience across higher education and the private sector.

Prior to joining IBU, Nevzat served as Vice President, Finance and Administration at Seneca Polytechnic, where his executive portfolio included finance, international operations, information technology, capital projects, facilities management and campus services. He previously held senior leadership roles as Vice President, Corporate Services at Durham College and Associate Vice President, Corporate Planning at Centennial College.

Earlier in his career, Nevzat held senior finance leadership roles with PepsiCo, including serving as Chief Financial Officer for its snack food division in South Africa, adding significant multinational corporate and international business experience to his background.

Nevzat holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). His career combines financial and corporate leadership with institutional strategy, international business, business development and extensive experience within Ontario’s postsecondary education sector.

At IBU, Nevzat leads financial strategy, institutional planning and strategic growth, supporting the University’s sustainable development and expansion in Canada and internationally.
