International Business University Hosts International Women’s Day Panel on Leadership Through Reciprocity

Toronto, ON – March 13, 2026 – International Business University (IBU) successfully hosted its International Women’s Day 2026 Panel Discussion, titled “Give to Gain: Leadership Through Reciprocity,” at the University’s newly opened Toronto Campus.

The event opened with a keynote address, followed by a moderated panel where distinguished speakers shared their experiences and perspectives on leadership development, mentorship, and career advancement. Panelists emphasized the importance of collaboration, mutual support, and advocacy in creating opportunities for emerging leaders while strengthening the wider community.

The discussion also provided valuable takeaways for IBU students and young professionals at the early stages of their leadership and career journeys. Through direct engagement with seasoned leaders, participants gained insight into how reciprocal leadership practices can enrich personal growth, build confidence, and contribute to positive organizational and community impact.

“Events like this truly reflect the role IBU plays in shaping thoughtful, community-minded leaders,” said Swarna Bakshi Saini, Registrar and Director of Enrolment Services at IBU. “By connecting our students with accomplished professionals, we empower them to understand that leadership is not just about individual achievement. It is about uplifting others along the way.”

Dr. Asima Vezina, President and Vice-Chancellor at IBU, highlighted the significance of hosting such conversations on campus. “We are proud to bring together leaders who embody the spirit of International Women’s Day. Their insights remind our students that reciprocity, integrity, and collaboration are not only leadership qualities; they are foundations for long-term success,” she said. “This event reinforces our commitment to providing an educational environment where academic learning and leadership development work hand in hand.”

IBU reaffirmed that events like the International Women’s Day panel are central to the University’s goal of fostering the skills, networks, and real-world experiences students need to thrive in a dynamic and evolving professional landscape.
