Global Financial Management

This Master of Science (MSc) in Global Financial Management — a program building on academic partnership between the UOL, a federation of 17 esteemed higher education U.K. institutions, and IBU — will equip you with a graduate-level understanding of core areas of accounting and financial management. You will complete the program with an aptitude in financial analysis, corporate governance, risk and decision-making, and investment management. You will also earn two degrees, one from the UOL and one from IBU.

Post Graduate Work Permit Eligibility and Tuition

  • International students who successfully complete this MSc in person at our Toronto campus will be eligible to apply for up to a three-year postgraduate work permit (PGWP).
  • The tuition fee for the MSc program is $30,500 CAD for domestic students and $48,000 for international students (total). To obtain this master’s degree, you will complete 10 compulsory modules and one Capstone project module.

Admission Requirements

To qualify to register for the MSc, you will need a bachelor’s degree.
English Language Requirements

You will need a high standard of English to take this program. You will meet our language requirements if you have achieved one of the following within the past three years:

  • IELTS: at least 6.5 overall with 6.0 in the written test
  • Pearson Test (Academic): at least 59 overall, with 59+ in reading and writing and 54+ in speaking and listening.
  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (grade C or above).
  • TOEFL iBT: at least 92 overall, with 22+ in reading and writing and 20+ in speaking and listening.

If you do not meet the English language proficiency requirements but believe that you can demonstrate the requisite proficiency, the University may, at its discretion, consider your application.

Computer Requirements

We set minimum basic computer requirements because your study resources are accessed via an online portal, and it is vital that you access this site regularly.
For the Capstone Project, you will need one of the following supported platforms:

  • Mobile platforms of iOS, Android and Windows 10 support:
  • iOS support OS version 8+ (free download available)
  • Android support API level 19+ Version 4.4 – 4.4.4
  • Windows 10 UWP version

And:

  • Icarus (Professional Accountancy) App (latest version)

Other specialized software may be made available by the University if required.
