IBU students will connect directly with Nestlé Canada through early talent opportunities and hands-on industry engagement.

TORONTO, ON – International Business University (IBU) has been selected to join Nestlé Canada;s 2026-2027 Outreach Partnership Program (OPP), creating new opportunities for IBU students to engage directly with one of the world’s leading food and beverage companies and explore career pathways, internships, co-op placements and professional development opportunities.

IBU’s diverse, globally minded student community, combined with its focus on business, technology, digital capabilities and applied learning, were key factors in its selection for Nestlé Canada’s OPP program. For IBU, this recognition goes beyond being selected for the program – it reinforces the university’s broader mission of bridging the gap between education and employability by creating meaningful opportunities for employers and students to engage. The program will run from September 2026 through April 2027.

“Nestlé Canada’s selection of IBU reflects exactly what we set out to build: a diverse, globally minded student community with real depth in business, digital and future-ready skills. This program gives our students a genuine opportunity to demonstrate those capabilities inside a global organization, and it gives Nestlé direct access to the kind of talent we’re proud to graduate. Together, we’re strengthening the connection between education and industry and creating pathways that support innovation, inclusion and workforce success in Canada.” – Dr. Asima Vezina, President and Vice-Chancellor, International Business University

For Nestlé Canada, the program provides early access to emerging talent across business, technology and related fields, while creating opportunities to connect with students bringing diverse perspectives and developing professional capabilities.

“At Nestlé Canada, we’re committed to building meaningful relationships with students and educational institutions that are helping shape the future workforce. Through the Outreach Partnership Program, we have the opportunity to connect with talented students, learn from their perspectives, and create experiences that help bridge the gap between education and the world of work. We’re excited to partner with IBU and support the next generation of talent as they begin their careers.” – Dina Hamed, Talent Acquisition Program Manager, Nestlé Canada

Participation in the program advances IBU’s skills-first approach to career preparation, giving students opportunities to build professional connections, understand employer expectations and demonstrate what they can do, while giving employers closer access to the next generation of diverse talent.
