Minimum Admission Requirements
- An undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- A minimum GPA of B+ or equivalent
- Resume documenting at least 2 years of work experience
- Proof of English proficiency, if required
Applicants without a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or equivalent business degree may be required to complete two bridging courses before beginning the MBA program:
- Quantitative Methods for Business
- Introduction to Business
Direct Entry
Domestic and international applicants, including Ontario university graduates and out-of-province Canadian students, may apply directly by submitting an online application form.
Computer Requirements
Course materials are accessed through an online portal. All students must meet minimum computer specifications to support their studies.
The Capstone Project requires one of the following supported mobile platforms:
- iOS: Version 8 or later
- Android: API Level 19+ (Version 4.4 or higher)
- Windows 10: UWP version
Students must also have the Icarus (Professional Accountancy) App installed. IBU may provide additional specialized software as required.

Application Form
The IBU Admissions team reviews your file. All of the following must be included for evaluation:
- Official transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended
- Letter of Intent
- Foreign transcript evaluation by an IBU-approved credentialing service (e.g., WES or ICAS), if applicable
- English proficiency test scores (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or equivalent) dated within two years
A decision is issued by the IBU Registrar’s Office. Accepted applicants must pay the deposit to receive a formal Letter of Acceptance.
