Mature Students
Mature student admission is open to individuals aged 19 or older who do not meet traditional high school admission requirements.
Applicants are assessed individually, with consideration given to education history, professional experience, and readiness for undergraduate study.
To apply as a mature student, you may be required to provide:
Evidence of at least a two-year gap from formal education
- Resume documenting prior education or training and professional experience
- Professional or employment background details
- Online application form
- Official transcripts, where applicable
- Proof of English proficiency
- Proof of citizenship or valid immigration status
Additional documentation or academic assessments may be requested to support the admissions decision.

Complete your application and submit the documents listed in Step 2.

- Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Detailed course curriculum (if applying for transfer credits).
- Transfer request form.
- English Proficiency (if applicable).
- Proof of citizenship.
Step 3
Once an admission decision is reached, the IBU Registrar’s Office will notify you directly. If accepted, you must pay your deposit to receive your final Letter of Acceptance and commence your studies.
Step 4
After receiving your Letter of Acceptance, you must work towards paying the balance of your remaining tuition fees. As an IBU student, you are obliged to pay your tuition fees before the start of each term.

This institution has been granted consent by the Minister of Colleges and Universities to offer this program for a five-year term starting April 4, 2023. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions.)
