Transfer Credits - BCOM
IBU considers undergraduate-level university courses for transfer credit if the grade obtained is a minimum of ‘B’ where ‘B’ equals 73% or higher. Subject to degree, grade, and program requirements, *any course offered for credit by one institution may be accepted for credit by another institution when there is essential equivalency in course content, scope and depth, level of study, assessment, and outcomes.

Advanced Standing for Sault College Graduates
Pathway to IBU’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Programs
IBU offers advanced standing for graduates of select Business diploma programs at Sault College, allowing students to enter directly into the upper years of IBU’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) programs. This pathway recognizes prior learning and enables students to complete their degree efficiently while building on the knowledge and skills gained during their diploma studies.
Eligible Sault College Programs:
- Business
- Business – Accounting
- Business – Marketing
- Business – Human Resources
- Sports Administration
How it Works:
- Graduates from these programs are granted advanced standing for the equivalent of the first two years (Level 1 and 2) of IBU’s BCom (Honours) programs.
- Students then continue with Level 3 and Level 4 courses in their chosen BCom (Honours) stream.
- Degree streams include:
- International Management and Technology
- Digital Sales and Marketing
- Business Management
Note: Advanced standing is awarded based on the completion of eligible diploma programs, and students are required to complete the remaining Level 3 and 4 courses at IBU.

Centennial College
Transfer credit pathways from Centennial’s two-year Business Diploma and three-year Business Administration; Leadership and Management Advanced Diploma, to IBU’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in International Management and Technology. Centennial graduates who meet IBU admission requirements are eligible for block transfer credit recognition towards IBU’s degree program.
Two-year college diploma graduates can enter the fourth semester of the IBU program and will have to complete five semesters to achieve the BCOM (Honours) degree. Three-year advanced diploma graduates will enter the fifth semester of the IBU program and will be required to complete four semesters to achieve the BCOM (Honours) degree. IBU courses are offered on a continuous basis. Centennial graduates entering the program in semesters 4 or 5 may enroll in any courses required for degree completion at any time.
Centennial graduates can fast-track their way to a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree at IBU in International Management and Technology:
- 2-Year Diploma Graduates: Start in semester 4 and complete the degree in 5 semesters.
- 3-Year Advanced Diploma Graduates: Start in semester 5 and complete the degree in 4 semesters.

Ottawa Education Group (OEG)
This pathway facilitates the transfer of academic credits earned through the SUMMIT program into IBU’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) program, supporting a seamless and successful transition for students advancing their studies at IBU, with eligibility for up to 12 transfer credits.

Anderson College
IBU has a credit transfer arrangement with Anderson College to support graduates of Anderson’s Business Management Diploma Program in progressing to IBU’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in International Management and Technology (IBU-IMT), they are eligible for up to 36 credit transfers.
English Pathway Partners

ILAC
Students who complete level 3.3 of the ILAC pathway program can apply for direct entry into IBU’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and MBA programs.
IBU shall consider admission of ILAC students who have completed the Pathway Program Level 3.2 as the equivalent of an IELTS score of 6.0 for direct entry to IBU degree programs, including one English course in the first semester

ILSC
Oxford International Digital Institute
International Business University (IBU) recognizes a score of 7 on the Oxford ELLT (English Language Level Test) as the standard for English language equivalence.

RCIIS
IBU shall consider admission of RCIIS students who have completed Level 5 of the EAP at a grade point average of 75% or higher for direct entry to IBU degree programs. This is equivalent to meeting the admission requirements of an IELTS (academic) score of 6.0. Therefore, graduates of the RCIIS EAP program are exempt from providing additional
English language test scores, such as IELTS, for admission
